Erika Holmbeck ’10, received her PhD in Theoretical Nuclear Astrophysics this Spring from the University of Notre Dame.

Aaron Dotson ’11 graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in May and matched into residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, one of the top medical schools in the country. During the 4-year residency, Dotson will train to be an eye surgeon.

Professional basketball player Tyler Harvey ’11 is the founder of www.themomentbrand.com, a “positive lifestyle brand” that encourages people and communities to be present and embrace life’s journey in The Moment. Harvey also recently signed a professional basketball contract to play for the Illawarra Hawks of Australia’s NBL. Constance Moorhead ’11 is currently serving in the United States Army as a 1st Lieutenant. She works in the JAG Corps, which oversees the legal affairs of the Army.

Danielle Shanahan ‘13 competed for the United States at the 2020 Pan Am Cross Country Championships in Canada. She finished 17th in a time of 39:59 and was the fifth American to cross the finish line. In January, she finished sixth at the USA Track & Field Cross Country Championships in San Diego. She runs professionally for NAZ Elite.

Christian Oshita ’15 completed an impressive college career at UC San Diego. As a senior, he was named 1st Team All-CCAA, 1st Team D2CCA All-West Region, and UCSD’s Athlete-of-the-Year selection in men’s basketball. Oshita, a Cognitive Behavior & Neuroscience major, was also an All-CCAA Academic Team pick. Oshita was 2nd in the conference in scoring (18.7 ppg) and helped lead the Tritons to a #4 national ranking. In September, he signed a professional contract to play in Germany.
Lauren Tolin ’15 graduated from the University of Arizona with a Business Degree/Management Information Systems. She was selected to speak at the Eller College of Management convocation ceremony. Lauren is working for Goldman Sachs in Salt Lake City as a Securities Analyst.

Zia Norris ’17 graduated in May from UCLA, completing a double major, in three years, in Political Science & African American Studies.
Rebecca Julifs ’19 was named to the Dean’s List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the 2019 Fall Semester. She is majoring in graphic design.

Kayla Padilla ’19 was named Women’s Basketball Rookie of the Year by the Ivy League. She was also named 1st Team All-Ivy League. She is in the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also the creator of www.thesidlinepost.com, a site dedicated to the lives of college athletes off-the-court personas.
